FAQ

1. Can I dry-cut tile?

Cutting tiles can generate silica dust, which can be hazardous if inhaled. Dry cutting produces the highest levels of silica dust and is not recommended. Wet cutting methods are preferred. Additionally, use adequate ventilation to maintain dust exposure below the recommended exposure levels and avoid inhaling any dust generated from cutting tile.

The use of a properly fitted NIOSH-approved particulate respirator is recommended when cutting tiles for installation or during the removal of installed tiles. Wear dust-proof goggles or safety glasses with side shields. Contact lenses may absorb irritants and should not be worn in work areas.

Cotton or leather work gloves should be worn when cutting this product to minimize skin exposure to dust and cuts. Wash your hands before eating, drinking, or smoking, and at the end of the work shift after completing cutting operations.

2. Is it easy to replace the broken tile? 

Replacing a broken tile is rather simple. It is very important to wear protective gear, especially goggles.

First, remove the grout around the broken tile. Second, carefully remove the broken tile using a hammer and chisel. Third, remove the hard mortar or adhesive that was underneath the tile. You are now ready to replace it with a tile from your attic stock and re-grout.

3. When Should I Reseal My Grout? 

Perform a simple water test to check the condition of your sealant. Apply a few drops of water onto the grout. If the droplets bead up on the surface, the sealant is still effective. If the water is absorbed by the grout, it's time to reseal.
